Fresh Seasonal Vegetables - grown on our own farm in the Highlands
Do you want ........ The best quality locally grown produce? The freshest vegetables? More seasonal produce? Reduced food miles? To support local growers? ........ We have the answers!
Do you want to buy the best quality locally grown produce?
Scotgro can deliver a selection of fresh vegetables to your home or place of work each week. We are fortunate to farm some of the best land in the Highlands and take pride in growing high quality produce.
Do you want to eat the freshest vegetables?
We deliver freshly picked vegetables direct from the farm to your door. Our aim is for everything we supply to be as fresh and wholesome as it can possibly be.
Do you want to use more seasonal produce?
We supply produce when it is in season locally and grow a range of crops to provide continuity of supply from mid- summer through to late spring. The downside to seasonality in our climate is that there is a period between spring and summer when there is very little available locally so we supplement our own produce with imports.
Do you want to reduce food miles?
As we grow most of the vegetables ourselves, food miles can be as little as the distance from our field to your plate!
Do you want to support local growers?
Buying locally keeps money in the local economy. We grow most of the vegetables ourselves here at Broombank. Other local growers work with us to extend our range of home grown produce.
We use as much seasonal produce from Broombank Farm as we can to make up the boxes. If we don't have it, we source from other local growers. Only when produce of suitable quality is not available locally will we look outside the area. Depending on the season, the weather and what's best on the day boxes will include a selection from the following items:
